CG-500 "Failed to create Core GPU render" Error

Why am I getting the error message "Failed to create core GPU render" when I launch the CG-500 program?

A: It could be because you are using an older graphics card that does not meet the minimum requirement of the CG-500. If you are using a newer grahpics card that meets the minimum requirement such as Nnvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD FirePro W7000, but still getting the "Failed to create core GPU render" error message, please try the following -

• Reinstall the graphics card driver. It probably wasn't installed correctly.
• Reinstall DirectX.
